Roger Vivier “Belle Vivier” pump in metalicized leather with over-sized rhinestone buckle (1965)

The "Belle Vivier" pump in silver leather with over-sized square rhinestone covered buckle (1965)

First seen on the Paris runway in Yves Saint Laurent’s historic Mondrian collection in 1965 and where the shoe received great critical acclaim followed by record sales. It was in 1967, when Catherine Deneuve wore this shoe in Luis Bunuel’s “Belle de Jour”, that it became the most famous shoe design of its time. It continues to appear in the current Vicier collections.
